The event includes everything from GAA hurlers to Ryder Cup watch parties.

Lots of activities are planned next Sunday as Nationwide is dedicating an entire program to the preparations for the 2027 Ryder Cup. The day promises a wide range of family-friendly activities.

Highlights of the event include:

• A “Ryder Cup Stars of the Future” competition for children at the Adare Pitch and Putt course, searching for the next generation of golfing talent.
• Limerick GAA stars will trade their hurleys for golf clubs in a unique challenge, playing the Bethpage course on a state-of-the-art Golf Ireland simulator.
• The village’s Main Street will be alive with street entertainment, including stilt walkers, face painting, and balloon art.
• Live traditional music will fill the air with a performance from the Croagh School of Music Comhaltas group.
• Community spirit will be on full display with a window dressing competition and a children’s art competition, with entries displayed in the Village Hall.
• A raffle will offer participants the chance to win a range of Ryder Cup-related prizes.
• The day will culminate with the final day of the Ryder Cup Watch Parties, as local pubs show the action from Bethpage Black starting at 5 p.m.

Ryder Cup Europe has expressed strong support for all community engagement efforts in the lead-up to the event.  Limerick hurling manager John Kiely is a key liaison between the village and Ryder Cup organisers and has a special focus on involving primary schools in the preparations.

The event will offer a taste of the excitement to come to Adare as the village prepares to host one of golf’s most celebrated tournaments.
