JP McManus Pro-Am raises €141 million for charities across Limerick region.

THE JP McManus Pro-Am saw the best golfers in the world, stars of stage and screen and tens of thousands of fans join together to raise over €140m for good causes and represent “the best of Limerick”

The golf extravaganza raised a massive €141,746,757 in total with over €48m of that already allocated to local charities, care centres and community projects throughout the Mid-West.

The remaining money, a total of €93.7m, will be allocated to projects awaiting approval.

Some of the local organisations that benefited from the funds include the Children’s Grief Centre, Croom Hospital and Cuan Mhuire in Bruree.

So far the money has gone towards the Irish Red Cross who received two new vehicles, a new CT scanner was purchased for St John’s Hospital and a retrofit was carried out at the Milford Hospice property.

Over €22m has been given to healthcare projects, €10m has gone to community programmes and over €14m was donated to infrastructure help.

The event, held in July 2022, saw 80,000 people descend on Limerick to catch a glimpse of some of the best golfers in the world as well as an array of famous faces. Ten of the top 11 golfers in the world took to the course at Adare Manor alongside a host of celebrities for the invitational event.
