The Limerick Leader, in partnership with Whitebox, is searching for Limerick GAA’s top volunteer over the next few weeks. Here is the Adare nominee.
Keith Fitzpatrick (Adare GAA)
Keith Fitzpatrick is one of the true unsung heroes of Adare GAA. He carries out a remarkable number of roles, often quietly and behind the scenes, but his contribution to the club is immense.
The photographs that appear so regularly across the club’s social media platforms are largely thanks to his time, effort and commitment. Alongside his wife, Rose, Keith does tremendous work producing and sharing social media content for every age group and section of the club.
Keith is also responsible for compiling the club’s field and facilities schedule. This requires him to work closely with the GAA, Camogie and Ladies’ Gaelic Football clubs, as well as the Bord na nÓg subcommittee.
Keith is a valued member of our Finance and Fundraising Subcommittee, which plays a central role in raising the much-needed funds required to operate the club each year. He has been closely involved in hugely successful events such as our St Patrick’s Day Duck Race and is now helping with preparations for the eagerly anticipated Ally Pally Darts Exhibition in November.
Much of his work may happen away from the spotlight, but it certainly does not go unnoticed. We are greatly indebted to Keith for everything he does for our club.
