Adare Manor Hotel and resort secure green light ahead of Ryder Cup tournament next year

The company which operates Adare Manor has received conditional planning permission to build 10 accommodation lodges on the grounds of the hotel and resort.

Tizzard Holdings Unlimited Company secured the green light from Limerick City and County Council to build the units.

They will be two-storey in height and be self-catering.

They will be linked to a wastewater treatment plant on the site of Adare Manor.

It’s estimated that up to 300,000 people will visit Limerick for the blue riband golf tournament from across the world in September 2027.

This will put pressure on accommodation providers, and many people have already offered their homes out to rent for the duration of the tournament.

According to documents submitted to the council to support the planning application, its envisaged each unit will have three bedrooms, and be able to host between six and eight people.

Each will have an en-suite bathroom or shower, and an area of private space to the rear with a small patio.

An overall lawn area will be shared across the site, with maintenance to be managed by the resort itself.

Agents for Tizzard have said the accommodation will be used for temporary workers. here to prepare for the Ryder Cup, then spectators.

Beyond next year’s tournament, the agents stated Adare Manor regularly takes queries from larger family groups looking for a base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way – and the homes could be used for this purpose with the resort itself at capacity for most of the year.
