Special Ryder Cup in Limerick 'Experience' Hotel Packages Go Live

Special Ryder Cup in Limerick ‘experience’ hotel packages costing over €8,000 go live

There may be 665 days to go to the Ryder Cup in Adare Manor but the first round of hotel packages were released on the official website on Monday.

There was a 10-minute wait to get onto the website, then patrons had 10 minutes to book a hotel of their choice.

Included in the “experience” package is five nights accommodation, ground transportation and four-day standard Ryder Cup ticket. The hotels listed include ones in Killarney, Cork and Galway.

There are two local venues available so far – South Court Hotel in Raheen from €7,564 and Longcourt House Hotel in Newcastle West, €8,422, both per person.

Julie Collins, executive sales and events manager at the Longcourt, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome our guests from the US and Europe for what’s sure to be one of the most memorable sporting events to come to Limerick in recent times.’

Excitement is already reaching fever pitch as can be seen by the photos taken at the hotel on Tuesday.

Ms Collins said they received their first enquiry well over a year ago.

“We already have a waiting list but will try and accommodate as many fans as we can. There is huge demand and it’s going to be huge for Limerick and the hospitality industry!” said Ms Collins.

The “experience” packages, according to the Ryder Cup Travel Services website, means “being there from start to finish, without missing a moment of the action, for one of the greatest occasions in world sport”.

“As part of the five-night experience, you arrive at your hotel on Wednesday, September 15, 2027 and depart on Monday, September 20, while soaking in the Ryder Cup atmosphere for four days, Thursday to Sunday.

“Enjoy ticket-inclusive accommodation experiences plus return ground transport from your hotel to the course each day.

The five-night experience includes hotel accommodation based on bed and breakfast (unless otherwise stated); ground transportation (transfers from the hotel to the course and back between Thursday to Sunday inclusive) and four-day standard Ryder Cup ticket, giving you access to the final practice day, opening ceremony, the three Ryder Cup match days and trophy presentation (Thursday to Sunday),” says the promotional material.

It notes that prices are per person and include all applicable service charges/taxes. No flight cost is included in any “experience”.

Upon booking, payment of 50% of the order total is required. The remaining 50% payment is due by April 1, 2027.
