There is an excellent choice of Game, Sea and Coarse fishing in and around Adare. The unpolluted local river Maigue is very popular amongst fishers for Trout, Pike and Salmon, while boats can be hired for fishing on the nearby lakes.
Full equipment is available for hire, locally. Fishing tackle can be bought locally in the village. Check for rates before casting to avoid fines. Castleroberts Salmon and Trout Fishery Castleroberts Salmon and Trout Fishery is situated on the Maigue River, Co. Limerick, 2 km from Adare Caravan and Camping Park. It sonsists of 2km of salmon and trout fishing on the right bank. With easy access from the road and paths along the river bank, this is an ideal spot for reeling in the catch of the day. Ownership This section of the Maigue river is managed by the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board.
